Clay Bar

Clay Bar effectively and effortlessly removes bonded contaminants that dull the finish of your car, such as iron filings, tree sap and overspray. General traffic film and oxidisation of the paint will affect the lustre, while constant bombardment by grit, dust and possibly car wash brushes will leave tiny scratches in the paintwork which will also have the effect of dulling the shine. Thorough decontamination of the bodywork including industrial fallout remover, intensive tar removal, clay bar followed by polishing will remove the vast majority of unwanted deposits. They are replaced by a hard polymer surface which will fill the imperfections leaving a clean smooth surface.

Polish

Polishing restores the highly sought after shine. Polishes contain mild abrasives in a liquid form. Over time the paintwork becomes dull and loses its glossy appearance due to UV rays and pollution. The abrasives in the polish actively remove the damaged top layer of clear coat. The removal of the unwanted deposits from the oxidised paint results in flattening the clear coat, enriching the gloss level, colour and depth.

Polishes contain solvents which clean the paintwork, some contain waxes and oils, but there’s insufficient product to provide protection for your car. The polishing process actively strips back any remnants of protection from the paintwork leaving it vulnerable to contamination, therefore we highly recommend a quality wax application to act as a shield against environmental bombardments.

Wax

An application of wax, or a ceramic coating should always be appended after the clay bar and polishing process to build back the protective layer that shields the vehicle from contamination. In addition to this protective layer the wax adds lustre, high gloss and restores the sought after showroom aesthetic shine.
